Band History

In 1955 some Scottish immigrants and some Americans pooled their experience and, with the sponsorship of Clan Gordon, formed the Clan Gordon Pipe Band.  The first Pipe Major was Johnnie Montgomery, father of long time member Jack Montgomery.  Today, even though Clan Gordon is no longer a sponsor, the band retains the original name. We are successful in our primary purpose: to bring the music of the highland bagpipe to the Northwest.
